Melanoma Cancer patients beware. Many doctors of Oncology suggest to do full brain radiation or some other form of radiation to fight Melanoma Cancer. Radiation works on most Cancers except Melanoma. Radiation does not have the same effect on Melanoma Cancer. Most Cancers will melt when hit with radiation. Melanoma will not. The best treatment for Melanoma if it is in the blood is Temodar chemotherapy. This drug is taken orally for six weeks and fights Cancer anywhere in the body to help ward off the growth of Cancer cells. If your doctor is recommending radiation for Melanoma, get a second opinion at the Mayo Clinic or somewhere very credible. Researching for the right doctor will avoid many unnecessary sufferings.
